Objectives of the Study
The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of community-based disaster risk management (CBDRM) programmes in enhancing disaster resilience in a selected community in Lagos State. The specific objectives are:
i. To characterize the community-based disaster risk management programmes to different disasters in selected community in Lagos State.
ii. To assess the level of community participation in disaster risk management programmes in selected community in Lagos State.
iii. To examine the adequacy of disaster preparedness measures implemented through CBDRM approach in selected community in Lagos State.
iv. To analyze the impact of community-based disaster risk management programmes on community resilience in selected community in Lagos State.
v. To identify challenges hindering the effective implementation of community-based disaster risk management programmes in selected community in Lagos State.
